When you leave a certain place for good, there will be many times you will regret it. There will be times when you feel as though you made the wrong decision too many times. Times when you don’t know why you left it in the first place and times you still laugh about what happened back there. Along with these thoughts you will have feelings; Sadness, guilt, remorse, you will be engulfed in emotional pain for what you left behind. Anger, bitterness, spite, you will swallow your pride and gag from its sick taste and you will resent those that tarnished the place you left.
There will be times you will relish it. You will never want to remind yourself of embarrassing memories or underdog moments of that past time. You will question your reasons for ever going there in the first place. You will look at your new place and grin sheepishly with inner joy at your mere presence inside it. Happiness, innocence, celebration, your heart will beat faster than ever before; good riddance of that old place! Yes, at times you will soar high above cliche clouds and proverbs and drift on your own personal high.
However, as those times enter and leave you, the only you can do is remember the wondrous things of both places new and old. Because at the end of it all, the negative never matters.
